Should Mo. Attorney General Josh Hawley investigate STL Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner for malicious prosecution of Governor Greitens?
— MOPNS (@mopns) April 10, 2018
After Missouri Political News Service broke the story yesterday morning that the woman – at the center of this witch hunt indictment of the governor – may have dreamed up the whole affair (no pun intended) about a nude picture, and that the evidence that could prove this is missing due to a “tape malfunction,” we ask our readers if its high time for attorney general Josh Hawley to step in and investigate the circuit attorney’s office? We reported last week that rumors are swirling that Kim Gardner is allegedly under investigation by the FBI’s public corruption unit.

Greitens Mistress Testifies She Never Saw Camera or Phone; May Have “Dreamed it”

“The prosecution admits it does not have any photograph that forms the basis of the charges. Nor has the prosecution provided any evidence that K.S. ever saw such a photograph. Nor has evidence of any transmission been provided. Nor does K.S. recall seeing a telephone or camera. When K.S. was asked by defense counsel, “Did you ever see him in possession of a camera or phone?” she answered: “Not to my knowledge. I didn’t see him with it.” The question was then asked: “And as you sit here now, you cannot state under oath that you ever saw him in possession of a camera – with a camera or a phone?” and K.S. replied, “Correct.” And then, “And you can’t say you saw it on his person, you can’t say you saw him put it down in the kitchen, take it from the kitchen, or put it down anywhere in the basement. Those are all correct statements, are they not?” K.S. answered, “Yes. I cannot say.”
Apparently recognizing the difficulty this testimony presented for the charges, the Assistant Circuit Attorney later asked K.S. “did you see what you believed to be a phone?” K.S. answered: “… I haven’t talked about it because I don’t know if it’s because I’m remembering it through a dream or I – I’m not sure, but yes, I feel like I saw it after that happened, but Ihaven’t spoken about it because of that.” She later re-confirmed, however, that she could not testify under oath that she saw a phone.” Read more… (Click image to expand)

Elon Musk’s Boring Company with partners at USDOT, East-West Gateway, MoDOT, and IDOT held a press conference today to announce a proposal to replace the aging elevated I-64 and Poplar Street Bridge in downtown St. Louis and East St. Louis with a tunnel. “I can’t wait to be the first to drive my Tesla through it,” Musk said, “This will be a great follow on to our tunnel in Los Angeles.”
The project would leverage opportunities in President Trump’s infrastructure plan which encourages public-private-partnerships (PPPs). At the announcement USDOT Secretary Elaine L. Chao said, “President Trump and I are excited to announce this first project under the new infrastructure plan. This begins a new era where the public and private sectors rebuild America’s crumbling infrastructure for the 21st century.” Read more…

The Sentinel:
On Monday, Curtman filed a complaint with the Missouri Bar Association (MBA). The subject of his complaint is St. Louis Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner, the prosecutor in question. Curtman believes the MBA should investigate Gardner for “prosecutorial and legal misconduct” in her investigation of Greitens. If the MBA finds her in violation, Curtman believes she should be disbarred immediately.
Curtman cites any number of irregularities on Gardner’s part. These include her use of unlicensed private investigators, the enlistment of an out-of-state private prosecutor, the preparation of an indictment before an investigation, the absence of a written investigative report, inappropriate discussions with police officers, and the failure to use the police appropriately. From what I remember from the 1997 movie “The Devil’s Advocate” starring Al Pacino, Satan’s lawyers were pretty good. But in real life, Lucifer doesn’t have his own law firm. In fact, those who belong to The Satanic Temple don’t actually worship the Christian version of Beelzebub. They are nontheistic secularists mostly, says Lucien Greaves, the Salem, Mass.-based co-founder and spokesman for The Satanic Temple. “We don’t believe in a personal Satan,” Greaves told me Thursday. “We do believe that everybody should take responsibility for their own actions.” That last statement was a not-so-veiled shot at Missouri’s governor.
Messenger was called out on his shodddy journalism a few years ago by former Mssourinet reporter Steve Walsh:
“What I found troubling was that in several reports the teenager who claimed she had been sexually assaulted was referred to as “the victim.” Was the teenager a victim … or merely an “accuser?” Keep in mind the jury determined the evidence did not support the young accuser’s claim she had been victimized by Muschany. Any American has the right to second guess a jury, but reporters – while on the job – must leave it to the jury to determine who is, indeed, a victim.”
