While the Democrat controlled U.S. Senate is passing resolutions against Rush Limbaugh, their cousins in the House are jeopardizing the accuracy of the 2010 census by not completing work on any of the dozen spending bills appropriating money for the day-to-day operations of 15 Cabinet departments. A way to get a few extra million democratic voters on the rolls maybe? By the way, the new fiscal year started Monday. Unbelievably, Congressman Lacy Clay of St. Louis is actually quoted in this AP article. MOPNS is impressed! A real step up from the usual meaningless defending interns and dental braces stories.
Clay, who is chairman of the sub committee that oversees the census, is quoted from a letter he and six house Democrats sent to the presiden’t budget director:
“This is the last chance to test the vast changes in the census design — what the administration touts as the ‘re-engineered census.” Sounds like something straight from the DNC talking points memo. Blame everyone else, even though you’re in charge.
