Chris “Beaver Cleaver” Kelly has decided that he wants to be productive again. Chris Kelly discovered he is a failure at retirement after stepping away from public office.

“I have the feeling I have a responsibility to be productive,” Kelly said last week.

A former associate circuit judge who previously served as a Democratic legislator for 12 years in the Missouri House and was the Boone County clerk from 1977 to ’82, Kelly said he likely would run for the 24th District legislative seat held by Republican Ed Robb.

In the House, Kelly served as budget chairman for several fiscal years before moving to the Labor and Industrial Relations Board.
