Graves Supports Farm Bill Despite Changes

Rep. Sam Graves (R-Mo.) sat down for an interview from Washington with the BDN this morning. This week marks the last week of business for Congress before the August recess.

Graves said he plans to keep busy during the recess, visiting many of the communities in the 6th Congressional District, which includes Cooper and Howard counties.

“I will be traveling all around the district, attending a lot of meetings, getting people’s thoughts and concerns,” Graves said.

One issue many area people are concerned about is the 2007 Farm Bill. This bill institutes most U.S. Department of Agriculture policy, and is renewed every five years. The Farm Bill is one of the major priorities for Congress this year. Read more…
