“There’’s not another state in the union that has lower gas taxes than we do””

While low, Missouri’s gas tax is not even in the bottom five compared to other states.  In fact, Alaska’s gas tax of 8 cents/gallon is less than half that of Missouri’s. The states that have a lower gas tax than Missouri are: Alaska, Wyoming, New Jersey, South Carolina, and Oklahoma.
