Former Talent Aide reunited with boss

Eric Ueland and Brett Thompson left jobs as Senate aides after last fall’s elections and were quickly hired as Washington lobbyists.
Parallel tracks? Not exactly.
Ueland, who was chief of staff to former Majority Leader Bill Frist, cannot deal with Senate leadership offices as a lobbyist, lest he run afoul of federal law.
But Thompson can go anywhere. As legislative director for former Sen. James Talent, he was part of a staff that no longer exists.
If Talent was still in the Senate, lobbyist Thompson would have to steer clear of his ex-boss and staff. But Talent, R-Mo. (2002-07, House 1993-2001), also swung through the revolving door and is once again Thompson’s boss — as co-chairman of government relations at Fleishman-Hillard. Read more…
