The folks over at the Tommy Sowers campaign must have realized that the gay bar fundraiser in DC was a BIG mistake! Soon after the infamous affair, we have Tommy doing an interview on the Christian Broadcast Network talking about his faith, and now, his first television commercial is out talking about (with Bible prop in tow) – you guessed it – his faith! How stupid does this guy think the voters of the eighth district are?

Is it your contention that he shouldn’t say he believes in the Bible or that he shouldn’t say he was in the military, or both? Should no candidate for office be able to say they rely on the Bible?

so I guess a fund raiser is only done in some church building or some other building that might be associated with the building. and are we to assume he not fit for service since he served in the Armed Forces? I’m not saying he is “fit”, just asking if you are trying to condemn the guy before it is time to vote.

Sadly, far too few “Christians” know the Bible like they should – and it’s doubtful very many leaders of this nation know much about what this book says in regards to law, peace, justice, and hope (principals our nation was founded on). Most (as in the case of Sowers) are using it as a prop to appeal to voters, or as a means to take scripture out of context in order to support one of their causes.
