Former Department of Natural Resources deputy director Joe Bindbuetel officially fell on the sword yesterday. Bindbuetel told the Senate Environment Committee that he alone made the decision to withold information from the public that the lake was contaminated with dangerous levels of E.Coli. It’s commendable that he’s taken responsibility for his role in this scandal, but when are Cardetti and Mazur going to step up to the plate and join Mr. Bindbuetel as  former state employees?
