Nixon Communications Director Jack Cardetti
“The most satisfying part of my job is to know what’s going to be in the morning paper before I go to sleep at night” Source: voxmagazine.com
Is anyone else curious as to why the St. Louis Post Dispatch and the Kansas City Star have a sudden fascination with former speaker Rod Jetton? Look, we all know that Jetton is about as crooked as a dog’s hind leg, and that it’s just a matter of time before he’s indicted and we hear that all too familiar refrain of “I’m innocent of these charges and I will clear my name.” What has been reported isn’t exactly new news. Are they privy to information that indictments are coming?
Or, are the state’s two major media outlets doing their friend Jack and the Governor a favor by switching gears on the public? Remember, Mr. Cardetti said that he has such close ties with the media, that they trust him and tell him what’s going to be in the next morning’s paper. It also makes you wonder: If the governor’s communications director already knows what’s going to be in the newspaper before the rest of us….
