K.C. Star: Rally in KC urges governor not to cut funds for social services:
“Britney Sawyer is a Kansas City mother of four with another child on the way….Sawyer was among more than 100 people, including social workers, teachers and religious leaders, who rallied Thursday evening in front of Operation Breakthrough at 31st Street and Troost Avenue because they fear deep cuts to social services in Missouri.
Gov. Jay Nixon has proposed $60 million in cuts to balance the state budget, and protesters think $20 million will come from the Department of Social Services.” Read more…
Sounds like another “Do as I say…Not as I do” for “Gov. Nasty”. Didn’t Nixon campaign against Medicaid and welfare cuts?

“If you work and are willing to work, you should be rewarded for that conduct, not penalized for that conduct,” Nixon said, while he was meeting with a half of dozen people who were forced from the Medicaid rolls back in 2005.
“You certainly have to expand eligibility back to people, especially people who are willing to work because you get something for that,” he added. “It’s a mess, it’s just a mess.” Read more…

Please pass this on. Federal law suit filed against Gov Jay Nixon. I know that there are many more people abused by DSS/CPS, police, case workers, etc. Jay Nixon has failed our children as has Missouri Family Services.
