The Columbia Tribune Politics Blog has these quotes today from Governor Blunt regarding Kenny Hulshof:
“I’ve made no secret that I think Congressman Hulshof, Kenny Hulshof would be a fantastic president of the university,” Blunt said today in Columbia. “I’m very thrilled that he has placed his name forward as somebody that might be willing to take on those responsibilities. I think he’s done an out-standing job, I think he’d be an outstanding leader.”
Blunt added: “Having said that, the curators are the ones who are familiar with the candidates, and it’s important that they take this responsibility very seriously. I know they’re doing that. I know they’ll make a wise decision. But since I’m aware of Kenny Hulshof’s candidacy, I would just say I think he’d be an outstanding president for the University of Missouri.”
