Is this is what happens when you become a state senator in what the limousine liberals call “fly over country.” You think you’re somebody? This is from state Senator Jolie Justus’ blog Freshmeat:
“Earlier this year I was selected to participate in a delegation of elected officials on a trip to China with the American Council of Young Political Leaders (ACYPL). ACYPL is a bipartisan non-profit organization internationally recognized as the pre-eminent catalyst for introducing rising political and policy leaders to international affairs and to each other.” Read more…
Who does the senator think she’s fooling? This has junket written all over it! In an age where lobbyists are despised right up there with child molesters and used car salesmen, to be brag about being potentially bought off with a trip to China shows a real tin ear for current public sentiment in our humble opinion.

“This has junket written all over it!”
If that’s what you really think, you’re a complete moron. The ACYPL was founded over 40 years ago to provide opportunities for rising American leaders in politics, government and business to meet their counterparts from throughout the globe.
Its bipartisan group of alumni include Kit Bond, Roy Blunt and Kay Bailey Hutchinson.
Your criticism of the ACYPL is pretty misplaced here.

Please point out the ties to the ACYPL that Sen. Justus would benefit by being given this honor? Who is buying her off? China?
This is a ridiculous and irresponsible blog entry. It’s the equivalent to saying the American League MVP has been bought off by baseball. If you’d bothered to do any research you’d be able to recognize there are absolutely zero parallels to abuses of the lobbying system.
Must’ve been a slow news day that you have to so completely fabricate information to satisfy your quote for hyperbole.

Ah I get it. So the State Department sponsored the trip so that makes the State Department Jack Abramhoff and the organization they hope to have Senator Justus give preferential treatment to is then the, um, US government? Is that what you’re saying right?
Well, I believe then they have bought themselves a State Senator. I’m pretty convinced Justus is gonna totally sell out to do whatever the United States wants her to.
