I think we may have to start a new feature called the “Lie of the Day.” Our first subject is the Honorable Mayor of Kansas City, Mark “what the” Funkhouser. The mayor’s Chief of Staff, Ed Wolf resigned yesterday (Is he seeing the handwriting on the wall and leaving a sinking ship; hell, a ship that never got out of port!)

“I knew Ed was not signing on for four years, and I wish him all the best,” Funkhouser told KMBC’s Micheal Mahoney in this exclusive interview. Funk also says in the interview that he may add one or two people to his staff of seven. And in a move that may win him the political tin ear of the year award, Funkhouser pledged to find some way to continue to have his wife, Gloria Squitiro, continue to be a part of his administration.
