The Missouri Political News Service has learned that – long time St. Louis fixture Julius Hunter- has resigned from his position as vice president for community relations at St Louis University.
Hunter was also a member of the president’s executive staff. His duties included representing the University at various civic, cultural and institutional boards, initiatives and community groups. Hunter came to the University with more than 30 years of broadcast and print news experience, most recently as the senior anchor at KMOV Channel 4 in St. Louis – a post he held for 26 years.
In 2006, Hunter was appointed by Governor Blunt as a commissioner on the St. Louis Board of Police Commissioners. The Missouri Political News Service will continue to investigate.
