Secretary of State Robin Carnahan and State Treasurer Sarah Steelman will be among the dignitaries participating in Phelps County’s Sesquicentennial Celebration June 2.
At the Phelps County Commission’s monthly meeting of elected officials and department heads, District 1 Commissioner Larry Stratman said Steelman and Carnahan, who both live in Rolla, have agreed to be in the Sesquicentennial Parade and will be among those scheduled to speak on the courthouse grounds during.
“We are delighted that both Sarah and Robin will be able to join us in celebrating the history of our great county,” Presiding Commission Randy Verkamp said. “To have two statewide officers from Phelps County just adds to the history.” Read more…
