Sources tell the Missouri Political News Service that Senate Minority Leader Maida Coleman – who has a history of skipping out on financial obligations, is preparing to skip out on fellow ally and friend Rep. Robin Wright-Jones. Wright-Jones is said to be considering running for Coleman’s term limited seat in ’08.
In a masterstroke of political maneuvering by Rep. Rodney Hubbard’ camp, Hubbard’s mother Penny Hubbard, is said to be considering resigning from the State Probation and Parole Board, leaving an opening for Governor Blunt to slide Coleman right in to the $80,000 a year appointment – and Rep. Hubbard right into the vacant senate seat.
