Interview with Barbara Woodruff, Co-Founder of Show Me Independents

November 5th, 2007 by mopns · No Comments

Is the two-party system working? Is there room for the so-called disenfranchised voters in Missouri’s political process? Barbara Woodruff says “no” and “yes” to those questions in the newest “Missouri Viewpoints” interview.

Woodruff is the co-founder of Show Me Independents, an organization that is working to reach out to those who do not identify with a political party and reengage those who have given up on the political process.

During the interview, Woodruff explains why she feels independent voters can affect elections and politics in Missouri. She points to the Presidential campaign of Congressman Ron Paul as evidence that people with diverse viewpoints can be mobilized to work together to have an impact on politics.
