Democratic State Representative Courtney Curtis tried to file last week as a Democrat for the open senate seat being vacated by term limited “Crazy Maria” Chappelle Nadal as she’s known around the capitol. The Jack Ass Party is claiming Curtis was denied because he owes a huge unpaid fine to the Missouri Ethics Commission. buit here’s the real reason:

Curtis rankled some of his Democratic colleagues when he voted in favor of “right to work,” which bars employers and unions from requiring workers to pay dues as a condition of employment. Some of Curtis’ Democratic adversaries also raised the alarm when he took big contributions in 2016 from TAMKO President David Humphreys, one of the Missouri Republican Party’s most prolific donors.
