“Ironically”, the same morning we chastised president Obama’s green jobs initiative and Emanuel Cleaver’s $200 million dollar stimulus boondoggle, The Kansas City’s Star’s Karen Dillon writes a story later in the day attempting to put journalistic lipstick on this pig:

No mention in the story that these are temporary jobs that will only last as long as the stimulus money keeps flowing. Also, no mention how much these jobs are paying. No mention of how many homes have been weatherized and refurbished. No mention of public transportation or aging infrastructure that has been fixed. Quite frankly, this story reads like it was written by the white House or by someone on Cleaver’s staff. Should we really be surprised?
