Steelman interviewed with Reardon on KMOX two days ago, and Reardon issued a report card of Steelman immediately after.
Reardon stated, Steelman is “not the sharpest knife in the drawer.” Reardon also stated Steelman would not be a strong candidate against Claire McCaskill, describing the interview as painful and without substance. Read more…

Sen. Jim DeMint (R-S.C.) offered some praise Wednesday for Missouri Senate hopeful Sarah Steelman, who’s courting grassroots conservatives ahead of a likely GOP Senate primary in that state.
“I was really impressed,” DeMint told The Ballot Box of his meeting with Steelman, who recently jumped into the race against Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-Mo.). “She seems to be right down the line of where we are. She gets the need to roll back government spending and debt, so I was impressed…Of the former senator’s potential entry into the race, DeMint said, “I haven’t heard anything about him running.” Read more…
*The same day we comment on how the lame stream media was attempting to drum up division within the Republican Party – in spite of the the Democrats November 2nd shellacking – this piece comes out later in the evening in The National Journal.
Just a coincidence too that when we wrote a post Monday asking was Sarah Steelman an establishment or Tea party candidate, The National Journal posts a similar article later in the day. We expect this from the media, but it’s disappointing when fellow bloggers – that we link to – lift entire sentences from our posts without crediting us.
