Wow, 17%! This has to be really embarrassing for the Sowers campaign, especially for high price consultant David Woodruff. Another one of Woodruff’s clients,14th district state senate candidate and former University City mayor Joe Adams was soundly routed in the recent primary by Sen-elect Maria Chappelle Nadal.
It seems 8th district voters aren’t fooled by a delusional outsider who receives most of his campaign contributions from outside of the state, and, who opportunistically trades in his fancy Volvo for a pick up truck to be ‘more like them.’ The voters also seem to be concerned about someone who professes to be a Christian but advocates for gays to openly serve in the military while holding fundraisers at Washington D.C. gay bars. Tommy, we appreciate your service to your country, it has been honorable, and we appreciate you for it. But unfortunately for you, your values aren’t the values of the folks you’re looking to represent in Congress.

So, Jo Ann gets 41% of solid Democrat votes and Sowers gets 17% of total vote to Jo Ann’s 64%. Sowers has now spent $500,000 and still barely gets half of what Joe Allen got. Can’t wait ’til November, Tommy, you narcissistic fool. What are you going to tell your liberal friends then? That you cost Robin the election, just so you could have a silly ego trip? You should be ashamed of yourself, Tommy.

The only question left in this race is whether, while getting less than 1/4 of the total vote, Sowers can hang on and carry the strong Democratic vote. His lead among strong Democrats is in single digits. See you in November, Tommy.

[…] Anyway, Dean thinks that Tommy Sowers has a chance. Sowers has a few media buys on St. Louis radio, even though St. Francois and Washington Counties, (at that, the northern portions thereof), are the only areas of the St. Louis media market broadcast range that is in MO-8. I agree with Dean that Sowers is doing exactly what he needs to do to topple the weasely open borders advocate in the person of Jo Ann Emerson, and he actually has a chance to win……if it’s two or four years ago. But this is this year, when he hasn’t a chance in hell. […]

Why doesn’ Tommy share with us the results of his own polling, on which he has spent tens of thousands of dollars? Maybe its because he could then no longer steal by deceit tens of thousands of dollars of contributions from folks around the country who should put their resources in winnable races . Instead, while down 45% in the polls, he continues to lie to people about his chances. Just watch, he will cost Robin her chance at winning as well. His arrogance and delusion know no limits.

These comments that Tommy Sowers is arrogant and delusional are unfounded and plain wrong. He is extremely well-educated, and graduated at the top of his Special Forces class. Given these accomplishments, he is remarkably humble. As for gays in the military … Supporting equality is the right thing to do. My husband and I are military, and both fully support the repeal of dadt. Tommy is a man of character, and he is running to do good for his District. What have you done to serve, or do you just put down veterans and gay-bash online ?
