Since ge gas decuded ti make his religious beliefs an issue, why does he hide the Bible behind his back for the entire commercial except for a brief flash of it? Wonder where he stands in view of his beliefs on a gay marriage Constitutional Amendment now that a federal district court has thrown out the Defense of Marriage Act on constitutional grounds? I can only guess in view of the Atlantic and Pacific Coast contributors that fuel his out-of-touch campaign.

Any truly patriotic American would fight to protect the birthright of ALL Americans to partake of the same constitutionally protected rights as every other American. To do less is unpatriotic in every sense of the word.

If Tommy Sowers believes that each American (without exception) is entitled to full equality in all things under the Bill of Rights and the US Constitution then I’d say he’s great patriot, and not some neo-fascist, anti-American homophobe wrapping himself in the flag while embracing unAmerican principles of oppression and bigotry.

The “Heterosexuals Only” sign will soon be relegated by this younger, more enlightened, generation to the same trash bin of America’s shameful past as the “Whites Only” sign had been decades ago.

God bless those people who have the heart and the soul to stand up for the downtrodden in society.

Jesus spoke not one word against gay people — even if a few of his less than enlightened followers, like Paul, did.

Christ’s true message can be summed up in just a few simple, elegant words:

“That which you do unto the lest among you, your brethren, you do also unto me” ~ Jesus
