Secretary of State and Senate candidate Robin Canahan made it back to Missouri yesterday for a fundraiser in St. Joseph. The stealth candidate made her usual stump speech filled with vague solutions on how to solve our country’s many problems: “If something breaks, what do you do? You fix it. Nobody really wants to fix anything.” That reassuring. Here’s another assuring one liner on healthcare reform: “Creating competition is the No. 1 thing we can do to drive down prices.”
We know that to the liberals, “competition” is code word for a public option that will eventually destroy the private insurance industry. Is that Ms. Carnahan’s position? It would have been great if the reporter would have followed up later with Ms. Carnahan and asked her that question. Especially in light of the Senate Democrats threatening the nuclear option of reconciliation to pass their unpopular bill.

Missouri Secretary of State, Robin Carnahan, is running for the U. S. Senate.
According to Section 14, Article IV, EXECUTIVE DEPARTMENT – of our Missouri Constitution, the Secretary of State is custodian of records, and documents and performs duties in relation to elections and corporations,.
Don’t you think that being a candidate in an election that you are required to oversee, is a serious conflict of interest? Shouldn’t she resign from her state executive position? After all, you can’t referee the game you’re playing in.
