Carnahan & 38% Approval Senator Form Fundraising Alliance

Still scratching our heads over this one! There’s only one person benefiting from this arrangement, and their name ain’t Carnahan! What, it’s good to go down together?

One of the Democratic Party’s most politically vulnerable senators has established a fundraising link with one of the party’s top prospects to win a Republican-held open seat.

Sen. Blanche Lincoln (Ark.), who is in a tough fight for a third term, and Missouri Secretary of State Robin Carnahan, who’s running to succeed retiring Sen. Kit Bond (R), will be sharing receipts that accrue to the Missouri Arkansas Victory Fund, a joint fundraising committee recently established with the Federal Election Commission. Read more…

 Carnahan is already not addressing any of the issues in her stealth campaign for Kit Bond’s seat. Now she’s aligned herself with a Senator who is literally a dead woman walking till November??? Does this mean that Carnahan agrees with Lincoln’s vote on healthcare? We don’t know because again, Carnahan won’t tell us where she stands on the issue. Or any of the issues for that matter!

Rasmussen Reports:

A new Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of likely voters in Arkansas shows Lincoln’s support for reelection at 38% or 39% no matter which of four potential Republican challengers she is matched against. In surveys last September and December, her support was between 39% and 41% in these match-ups…

The two-term senator, who was reelected with 54% of the vote in 2004, appears more vulnerable because of her visible and pivotal role in the Senate debate over health care. Read more…
