Today the NRDC Action Fund announced that they were targeting Congressman Graves and Luetkemeyer with attack ads for opposing Cap & Trade, which would radically increase utility rates in Missouri, push more of our manufacturing base out of Missouri and impose higher taxes on citizens.

At the same time, the radical environmental group launched ads praising Ike Skelton for voting yes along with Nancy Pelosi on cap and trade.

Here in Missouri, more than 85% of our electric is generated from coal so our current electric rates are some of the lowest in the US and will go up much more than other states as part of cap and trade.
