As talk floats around Washington D.C. of a second “borrow and print” stimulus package, our new Missouri Matters poll asks our readers if they favor a second (or third depending on your perspective) stimulus package. Not to skew the results of course, but here’s an excerpt from a stimulus “success story” in yesterday’s St. Louis Post Dispatch:
The federal economic stimulus program will reach into the tiny unincorporated town of Defiance with $430,000 to pay for a pedestrian and bicycle pathway to link the Katy Trail to local businesses on the east side of Highway 94.
“It will bring the town more together as a community,” said St. Charles County Council Chairman Joe Brazil, a Defiance Republican involved in planning for the project. Read more…
