Quote of the Day: “I’m a Reparations Man — How Else Do You Repair the Damage?”

Today’s quote of the day is from Missouri’s 1st district congressman William Lacy Clay. This was Clay’s response after the Senate officially apologied yeserday for “the fundamental injustice, brutality, and inhumanity of slavery and Jim Crow laws.”

What got the Congressman’s dander up was this disclaimer that was slipped into the resolution:

“Nothing in this resolution authorizes or supports any claim against the United States; or serves as a settlement of any claim against the United States.”

Now Congressman, you of all people should know – since you’re in lock stock agreement with Obama’s reckless spending – that the United States is broke! Where are we going to get the money to pay reperations to African Americans?

Where will the government get the money? From the taxpayers, of course. I guess in this case, it would have to come from white taxpayers.
