Last week, a liberal member of Missouri Matters called for the ACLU to get involved in the MIAC Scandal, specifically, the targeting of Republican State committee member Josh Carter of St. Louis by the FBI and the highway patrol. Blogger Clay Bowler worries that Governor Nixon “will skate.”

“I am sad to see the investigation go from fever pitch from Lieutenant Governor Peter Kinder to little discussion at all. Missourians deserve answers about how this report came about and why conservative causes were the target. The governor’s office will not release any documents concerning the report, regardless of the Sunshine Report. They claim there are no documents. How does a report get funded without any paperwork? The report targeted innocent Missourians, and it quickly got shoved under the rug after the national conservative talk shows noticed the report.” Read more…
