The Missouri Senate is holding up the nomination of Linda Martinez until she and Governor Nixon make written assurances that they will abide by Missouri and federal law in fighting illegal immigration.

The Governor is getting angry … he has sent his chief of staff, John Watson, to threaten Missouri Senator Scott Rupp and the Governor’s office has been reportedly calling across the state trying to pressure elected officials to cave in to the pro-illegal immigration Martinez.

First, call Senator Scott Rupp and say “thanks for your stand and we appreciate you.” Senator Rupp’s phone number is 573-751-1282.

Second, call Senator Frank Barnitz and ask him to join the fight against Ms. Martinez. Senator Barnitz has been quiet and may be giving in to Governor Nixon’s pressure. Senator Barnitz’s phone number is 573-751-2108.

Finally, please call Senator Wes Shoemeyer who we do not know about. He needs to vote against Ms. Martinez. Senator Shoemeyer’s phone number is 573-751-7852.
