Besides our loyal readers, we know that the journalists and the politicians read the Missouri Political News Service as well. As usual, the media are a day late and a dollar short on this one. We reported Monday the glaring conflict of interest Linda Martinez had as Nixon’s choice as head of the Department of Economic Development, and her work as an attorney for Monsanto. Here’s an excerpt from our post:
“Monsanto is in line to receive millions of dollars in tax credits this year. Is it any coincidence that their former attorney, Linda Martinez, was appointed to the agency that doles out these same tax credits at the same time that Monsanto was announcing that they ditched their lobbyist with conservative connections for the Governor’s former attorney, Chuck Hatfield. “
Although the press ignores the leads we give them, at least Sen. Lager is not asleep at the wheel and is looking out for the people’s interest. We sure know the media isn’t!
