The. K.C Star, News-Leader, and The STL Post Dispatch continue to ignore Governor-elect Nixon’s Kansas transition team member.
Here is today’s example of the increasing irrelevancy of the mainstream media:
From the AP:
Nixon’s gubernatorial transition team has sent letters to about 600 employees whose jobs are not covered by the state merit system.
The letter obtained by The Associated Press says employees must reapply for their jobs by Dec. 23 if they want to keep their positions.
The application requires employees to describe their qualifications, responsibilities and the importance of their positions.
Isn’t it ironic that Governor-elect Nixon’s transition team (with a prominent member who legally resides in Kansas!) is sending letters to Missouri state workers demanding that they state their qualifications to keep their jobs! Here’s a novel idea. Maybe a transition team member – with the power to remake Missouri government – should at least live in the state?
Its’ also funny that the Mr. Magoo editors at the state’s three major newspaper are choosing to ignore this glaring hypocrisy! Hey fellas, you’re going broke, your days of a monopoly are over. Do your jobs.
