Could it be? Is this the same politician who, earlier this year, put an ad on in his district that earned nationwide ridicule for its 1980s-era stereotypes and 1970s-era public-access TV production values?
Well, seems Sam Graves found some money in his office budget, or somewhere, and went out and made a real political ad. A terrific ad, in fact, to trumpet his endorsements last week by two statewide unions.

The Sam Graves campaign is taking opponent Kay Barnes to task for a satirical article in Camp, a magazine that bills itself as “Kansas City’s voice for the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and allied communities.”
It refers to Graves’ “horse-face wife” and “wild-eyed children.” Read more…

I live in Kansas City and Kay was called “The Silk stocking Mayor ” here. We never saw the rich widow with people who look or dress like you. You are not her kind of people. She was a wealthy socialite. You have been fooled.
