While the Democrats – and their vile fringe bloggers – sharpen their knives and wage an unprecedented attack against vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin’s teenage daughter, convention delegate Jerry Hunter’s comment about sums up the views of probably 99% of Republicans – Who cares! You can’t legitimately (no pun intended) assign blame to a parent for a child’s unfortunate mistake. Especially a teenage child that is practically a legal adult.

McCain’s bold choice literally killed three or four birds with one stone: she’s a woman; she energizes the base; and she’s a true conservative and reformer which plays well into Senator McCain’s message. Many observers we’ve talked to are candidly having “what if” moments now that Palin is on the ticket. What if Sarah Steelman would have prevailed over Kenny Hulshoff? Many believe that a reform minded, conservative woman at the top of the ticket would have dovetailed nicely with Steelman’s maverick and reform image here in Missouri. Not to mention that they’re both attractive women. We dare to say that it would have made this fall an even more interesting election season.
