Democratic Lieutenant Governor Candidate Sam Page released the following statement today regarding the U.S. Supreme Court ruling that banning handguns is unconstitutional:

“I completely support today’s Supreme Court decision upholding the right of law-abiding citizens to own firearms and overturning the District of Columbia law banning ownership of handguns. The right to own firearms clearly is enshrined by the Second Amendment as an individual right and the Court has removed any legal doubts regarding the issue.”
