Hulshof Having Problems Finding a Campaign Manager?

March 31st, 2008 by mopns · No Comments

Not trying to pile on the Hulshof Campaign, but this is what we wrote last week on their so far lackluster campaign:

“Facing disorganization and so far running a lackluster campaign, will Team Hulshof abandon the Mr. Clean theme and run to the gutter in an attempt to redefine Steelman?

That is a question that will be answered in the coming weeks. A question that has a lot of politicos and Hulshof supporters concerned around the state right now is their apparent difficulty in finding a campaign manager. We’ve learned that since announcing back in February, the campaign has approached at least seven people who have flat turned them down. The list includes:

1.) Rod Jetton

2.) Jason Van Eaton

3.) Tony Feather

4.) Jason Miller—George Allen and Gov Mark Sanford

5.) Mike Britt – Sam Graves and Mitt Romney

6.) Caleb Jones – Bush 04, Talent ’06

7.) Tyler O’Connor – Missouri Victory Committee and Mayor Guiliani

Insiders tell the Missouri Political News Service that they have refused to hire former Romney National Coalitions Director and Talent ’06 campaign manager Gregg Keller – even with the former senator pushing hard for him. Keller being 0 for 2 in concurrent election cycles shouldn’t be a dis-qualifier, the Steelman campaign hired Doug Gaston who lost his own race for County Prosecutor. Who will be Kenny Hulshof’s 8th choice? MOPNS will continue to investigate.

Interesting, any projections on how this could play out?

Sorry but your list of names doesn’t make any sense, either they aren’t in a position to run a campaign, any campaign or would be a poor choice. I don’t know what “concurrent election cycles” you are speaking of, but NOBODY with half a brain would hold Gregg responsible for Talent’s loss in 06 and Romney not winning in MO. Not enough room to explain that one to you if you don’t understand it.
