Video: Jack Jackson Describes His “Gut Shot Feeling” at Lincoln Days

February 11th, 2008 by mopns · No Comments

“Stand with me if you will; stand alone if I must; but stand I will.” – Col. Jack Jackson

Lt. Governor candidate Jack Jackson, used those words to describe how he felt after learning that current Lt. Governor Peter Kinder was seeking re-election, instead of the Republican nomination for governor.

Jackson, who flew over 600 combat missions in Vietnam, said he had the same “gut shot feeling” he had when he encountered a man in Chicago (a man in a suit) who pushed him out of the way and called him a SOB, simply because Jackson was wearing his uniform.
