Rep. Joe Aull, D-Marshall, was one of three people charged yesterday with a misdemeanor crime of presenting a false identification at the Isle of Capri Casino in Boonville.
Cooper County prosecutor filed charges yesterday against Aull, along with Sen. Jeff Smith, D-St. Louis City, and former Isle of Capri lobbyist Lynn Schlosser of Kansas City. The charge carries a maximum punishment of six months in jail and a $500 fine.
When asked by the Tribune about the charges, Aull said: “I believe the charges against me are unfounded and I feel like I’m not guilty.”
“That’s all I’m going to say,” Aull said when asked whether he would fight the charges in court. “I think the charges are unfounded and I feel that I’m not guilty.” Read more…

Rep Aull, either you let Sen Smith use your ID or you didn’t. I know you don’t “feel” guilty but from all reports you are.
People would have more respect for you if you told the truth from the beginning instead of denying it. But then again, they have come to expect that from you.
