From Tax Relief Now:

As of 8/25 there have been 2095 signatures on the petition. In addition to that, we have about 50 more who have signed a paper version.

Two members of the committee will be appointed to a Task Force established by the Speaker of the Missouri House, Rod Jetton. This Task Force will be providing the House leadership with proposed legislation to eliminate the “sticker shock” of recent residential property assessments.

In addition, the President Pro Tem of the Senate, Michael Gibbons will introduce plans to put a similar proposal before the Senate. Read more…
