The piece accurately reported that this bill was defeated. I offered the successful amendment that removed it from the Missouri Health Net bill.
Why would I, a physician and board-certified immunologist who does vaccine research, oppose a bill that promoted a vaccine? I think the question should be asked another way: What is the rationale for the state mandating, or aggressively promoting, vaccinations as conditions of school admission? Read more…
