For the second time Larry Griffin was found guilty of murder, this time by an investigative team. Unfortunately facts don’t matter for one of our congressmen:
Rep. William Lacy Clay, a Democrat from St. Louis, said he was “disgusted” by the circuit attorney’s findings.
“The plain facts are that people closest to this case continue to believe the justice system failed and the state of Missouri executed an innocent man,” Clay said. “I agree with all of that. Nothing in this report changes that opinion.”
And you’re entitled to your own opinion Rep. Clay, you aren’t entitled to your own facts though. After over 1,000 hours of interviews with over 80 people, I would assume the investigators know more about the case than you do…then again who doesn’t know more than you?
