Mayor Slay has been out of the news lately-it works sometimes Funkhouser, try it-but this morning I noticed this at the News-Leader:

The St. Louis circuit attorney’s office is changing philosophies. Now, the best prosecutors are going after the worst criminals in the hopes of better combating crime.

Well, duh. Only in St. Louis can such common sense be worthy news.
