State Senator Chris Koster was back in his hometown (and the backyard of his rumored primary opponents) last night raising money for what is expected to be a bid for attorney general. Our sources say he spoke to a packed room of over 50 people at a downtown Clayton eatery and picked up a nice chunk of change for his campaign war chest. The Missouri Political News Service will continue to investigate.

“In keeping with the apparent protocal from 2008 presidential hopefuls on down, all of the events were private. (Koster’s campaign consultant, Jeff Roe, politely called this afternoon to gently disinvite yours truly from Koster’s gathering in Clayton, explaining that the candidate had misspoke with his earlier invite.)
Having reporters and donors in the same room….That’s too tough for candidates to handle.”
No, we don’t believe that’s the case Ms. Mannies. The fact is you’re an overly partisan, lazy “reporter” – who like your newspaper – steals stories from other bloggers and other publications. Who needs one of your hack job “objective” stories?
