“We have a crisis of confidence in this country because we see every day excesses of people that have more money than people can imagine wanting more money. Greed and selfishness can kill this great democracy and ruin capitalism. We need to have governance to make capitalism work for everybody.” – Dick Gephardt, 2004
Like it’s working for you Dick? Richard Gephardt – who always reminded us during his nearly thirty years in Congress that he was the son of a milkman and Teamster – is doing quite well for himself in his “retirement”.
It is being reported that former Congressman Gephardt has been named to another corporate Board. Gephardt is a partner in a prominent law firm, in addition to being a consultant to The Goldman Sachs Group Inc., and senior adviser to FTI Consulting Inc. He is currently a director of Unites States Steel Corp., Spirit AeroSystems Holdings Inc. and St. Louis-based Centene Corp.
How ironic it is to see ‘Ol populist Dick himself, now feeding at the trough of the Capitalist pigs!

You don’t know the half of it when it comes to how Gephardt has changed. We have a picture of him far more revealing than the one above.
When you say that he’s a “partner” in a law firm, the better and more accurate term is rainmaker.
