Last week, a fellow political blog ‘the Missouri Pulse,’ posted a story about one of Jay Nixon’s top advisers, Mary Still, and her attorney husband. After leaving Holden’s administration, Still (pictured left) has served Nixon in a variety of capacities since he ascended to office, most recently as Policy Director for his official office.
Last week’s post revolved around a potential conflict of interest as Still’s husband, Russell Still, and his Nixon-donating law firm, Harlan, Harlan and Still, represent dozens of defendants annually in Social Security disability cases and other workers’ compensation suits filed against the State.
