The Donald Danforth Plant Science Center said Monday that it will name a plant growth facility at the center after U.S. Sen. Christopher S. “Kit” Bond.

The Donald Danforth Plant Science Center is a not-for-profit research institute located at 975 N. Warson Road in St. Louis County.

In a release, officials of the center said the honor is in recognition of the senator’s “leadership in helping to establish Missouri’s burgeoning plant sciences and his contributions to establishing the Danforth Center.” Read more
