Sources tell the Missouri Political News Service that Keith Savage – St. Louis entrepreneur and aspiring politician – will not be a candidate next year for the 58th District House seat. Look for an announcement soon.
Savage was rumored to be running, if and when, Rep. Rodney Hubbard stepped up and announced he was running for Sen. Maida Coleman’s term limited seat. Insiders tell MOPNS that Savage’s business interests are “preventing him from pursuing elected office at this time.”
We reported last week that a deal may be in the works to get Hubbard in Coleman’s seat before the 2008 election.
