WASHINGTON (AP) – In a rare moment of candor, Missouri Rep. Jo Ann Emerson told President Bush that she’s tired of politics being used to fuel the debate over the war in Iraq.
“I talked about how upset I am with the whole politicization of the war and how it’s making it more difficult for the parties to come together to work in a bipartisan fashion,” Emerson said Thursday.
“The men and women and the young kids who are over there should not be used as political tools and I’m very offended at both parties for doing that,” she said. “Both parties are stoking it and I think it’s irresponsible.” Read more…
