and sexism too. As a matter of fact, in their criticism of Katie Smith Democrats are engaging in many of the silly “isms” liberals have concocted.
Several Democrats have questioned her qualifications, including Sen. Maida Coleman, a St. Louis Democrat. Coleman sits on the Senate agriculture and gubernatorial appointments committees and previously called for Blunt to hire a woman after Ferrell’s departure.
“I believe she’s lacking in management experience,” Coleman said. “We need somebody who has supervised people.”
Kind of like your stripper friend you continuously appoint to state boards?
Smith is going to be in a male-dominated culture, and her age and experience are not going to help her be taken seriously, Coleman said.
Hmm, that’s strange. Neither your age or experience (if I must) are the reasons we don’t take your seriously Sen. Coleman.
“I think this woman’s greatest challenge is going to be dealing with good old boys who are going to be calling her ‘sweetie’ and ‘honey,’ ” Coleman said.
If the state’s Agricultural Director’s biggest foreseen challenge is Southern jargon then the job will be a cinch.
If Sen. Coleman’s opponents used these words against her they would be labeled sexist bigots. Where is the feminist outrage?
