Ed Martin was elected in a close vote last weekend as the new chair of the Missouri Republican Party. A combination of Ron Paul, Libertarians, and folks “just plain sick of the establishment” is said to have given Martin the victory. In a statement, Martin said “Our success in electing Republicans across the state — in widening the tent — has created an influx of new ideas and energy, but it’s clear there is still work yet to be done.” Here’s a great start at “widening the tent.” Good luck Mr. Chairman!
