“Missouri Plan” Needs Real Transparency & Accountability

“The Missouri Plan is the most political method for choosing judges, in that it allows a tiny group of lawyers to effectively choose the judges that will decide their cases. The people of Missouri have no input. Introducing a basic level of transparency is a small step in the right direction, but more is needed. Missouri’s courts will remain captive to trial lawyers’ special interests until the people of Missouri are given a voice in the process.” –Better Courts for Missouri Executive Director James Harris
